Enchantments, also known as enchants, books, or enchanted books, are items in Pet Simulator 99 that offer distinct effects when equipped. The player can obtain them through various means and equip them directly from their inventory. There are currently 31 different enchantments (9 General, 22 Special) in Pet Simulator 99. Two new tiers of enchants were recently added, Superior and Celestial.

Whenever an enchantment is upgraded at the Crimson Forest, it is increased by one tier of rarity. The player can only upgrade normal enchantments, special enchantments are unable to be upgraded.

Enchantment formulas use a simple additive system, making each enchantment of the same type weaker than the last. (Example: The first enchantment is 100% active, the second one is 60%, the next is 38.3%, 27.5%, and so on). Current understanding and player consensus is that Chest Mimic and Diamond Mimic stack, however this is to be tested and confirmed.*

For maximum efficiency, using a variety of enchantments is recommended, due to the diminishing returns of using multiple of the same enchantment.Perks through Enchants Mastery Level allow the reduction of costs or the use/production of higher-level Enchants.

There are 6 free enchantment slots that can be unlocked through ranks and 3 premium enchantment slots which can be unlocked by purchasing them with Robux. There is a total of 9 enchantment slots as of Update 6.

In the Wizard Tech Forest, area 162, the Enchant Empowering minigame allows players to use the Enchant Essence! and Empower Enchants! machines. The Enchant Essence! machine converts non-special enchanted books into Enchant Essence, for a fee of 100 diamonds per Essence. The Empower Enchants machine combines enchanted books with Enchant Essence to empower the book for 8 hours. Books give different amounts of Enchant Essence, depending on their rarity. Using the Empower Enchants machine costs different amounts of Magic Essence depending on the book tier, but all books cost 10× as much Enchant Essence to be empowered as the book would have given if it were turned into Enchant Essence.

Every book tier would give twice as much essence as the previous book tier, but that number is rounded for all tiers lower than legendary. Legendaries provide 45, but instead of epics providing exactly 45/2 = 22.5, they give 23. However, epics don't provide half of 23, rounded to the nearest whole number, they provide half of 22.5, rounded to the nearest whole number. The formula for the number of Enchant Essence provided from book tier t, is round(45 × 2^t-4) or ⌊45×2^t-4+0.5⌋.
